QUESTION:

ANSWER:

QUESTION:

Does QMS hold appropriate accreditations?

ANSWER:

Yes, QMS is fully accredited by JAS-ANZ (Joint Accreditation Service – Australia and New Zealand). JAS-ANZ is a signatory to the IAF (International Accreditation Forum) – the officially recognised world association for accreditation purposes. When seeking ISO certification, you should always choose a provider whose accreditation is recognised by IAF.

QUESTION:

How does QMS fund its operations?

ANSWER:

QMS is a private company with 25 years experience in auditing and certifications. The company’s shareholders and long-term business success ensures successful ongoing funding of our operations.

QUESTION:

How much does certification cost?

ANSWER:

There are many factors that go into the cost of certification. From the size of your organisation, number of sites, worker numbers, to the complexity of your business scope. To get you the best possible outcome, we review all of this information on a case-by-case basis, and get you the best possible result.

QUESTION:

How long does it take to get certified?

ANSWER:

If you are ready for certification, the process can be determined by your needs. Initial ISO certification requires a 2 part auditing process – typically time is allowed between stage 1 and stage 2 audits in case any gaps are found at stage 1. Depending on the suitability and implementation of your management systems, the timeframe from enquiry to completing certification can be as short as a few weeks or as long as 6 months.

QUESTION:

How do I know if I’m ready for certification?

ANSWER:

Auditing and certification to any standard requires us to determine that you have effectively implemented the requirements of the standard. Before seeking certification you should have performed a full internal audit to determine if all parts of the standard have been met.

QUESTION:

Can I transfer my certification to QMS

ANSWER:

Yes. If you are in need of an alternative certification body, speak to us any time about transferring your certification. There are formal industry rules in place to govern the transfer process – to protect you, the client.

QUESTION:

Can I add extra work sites to my certification?

ANSWER:

Yes. If you have multiple sites that are permanent (not temporary work sites like a roadside project but your permanent business premises), then you may add those sites to your certification. Note that each site must be managed under the organisation’s management system, such that we can determine it has been effectively extended and implemented at each site.

QUESTION:

When is my next audit?

ANSWER:

If you are already certified, your audit visits are on a pre-determined schedule. This is usually every 12 months but can vary depending on the size and scope of your organisation. You most recent audit report should tell you when your next audit is required.

QUESTION:

Can I delay or reschedule my next audit?

ANSWER:

Audit frequency is determined at the time of application, and there are pre-determined rules which mandate the maximum time between audits (usually no more than 12 months). If you need to change your audit timing or frequency you should talk to us as early as possible so we can manage it with you.
